WE’RE both competitive, but who said Australians and South Africans don’t get along?

Renowned Aussie golf commentator Ian Baker-Finch is enjoying the end of a busy US PGA Tour season calling the action for CBS Golf and sent Australian Golf Digest this picture with Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie Els, (Zimbabwean) Nick Price and Charl Schwartzel.

Ten Major championships’ worth of experience gathered at 2012 Masters winner Schwartzel’s new house in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for a housewarming – and plenty of banter.

“Two World Golf Hall of Famers, two future Hall of Famers and one CBS Golf commentator,” Baker-Finch joked.

Speaking with Australian Golf Digest from Colorado, 1991 British Open champion Baker-Finch said he had recently caught up with Jason Day to congratulate the 27-year-old on his breakthrough US PGA Championship victory.

“I shed a tear when I saw him (Jason) on the range in New Jersey (at The Barclays). It was an emotional meeting with him and (caddie) Col (Swatton) because I know where he’s come from and how hard he’s worked.”
