QUEENSLAND LOCKDOWN ANNOUCEMENT 29TH JUNE

As announced by the Queensland Government this morning, from 6pm Tuesday 29 June 2021, a 3-day lockdown will be in place for the following Local Government Areas (LGAs):

  • Noosa
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Ipswich
  • Logan
  • Redlands
  • Moreton Bay
  • Brisbane
  • Gold Coast
  • Scenic Rim
  • Lockyer Valley
  • Somerset
  • Townsville City
  • Palm Island Aboriginal Shire

The lockdown restrictions will be reviewed on Friday 2 July.

Golf Operations

As per direction from the Queensland Government exercise is permitted, including golf with physical distancing observed.

  • Players MUST play with no more than one other person unless all players are from the same household
  • All members, guests and staff Must wear face masks when indoors which includes the clubhouse and golf shop
  • 2 people are allowed in golf carts provided masks are worn
  • Residents must not travel out of their local area to play golf
  • No dine-in customers are permitted. Takeaway service is allowed.

The State Government advises heightened hygiene practices. As such Golf Australia recommends clubs adopt the local rules removing bunker rakes and leaving flagsticks in. Please see this link for further information CLUB GUIDANCE: Managing play in the COVID-19 environment – Golf Australia

QUEENSLAND RESTRICTIONS 29TH JUNE 2021

REST OF QUEENSLAND

As of 1am Tuesday, 29 June 2021 new restrictions will come into place. While these restrictions are mainly for the South East Queensland region, clubs/facilities and their patrons need to be aware that restrictions may apply outside of that area.

If any of your members/patrons have been in South East Queensland (above areas) in the last 14 days, they:

  • Must carry a mask and wear it whenever they are outside the house.
  • Masks must be worn by these members inside the clubhouse and golf shop.
  • Are not required to wear a mask while they are seated and eating or drinking, or whilst playing golf.
