An enviable location in Melbourne is one thing, but Yarra Bend’s completeness is the facility’s greatest asset.

Yarra Bend Golf Course has been a fixture within the Melbourne golf landscape for more than 80 years. The course is just 10-minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, positioning it as a desirable location for time-conscious golfers.

Yarra Bend’s proximity is undoubtedly an appealing feature, but perhaps its most unique quality is its stunning setting. The course is part of Yarra Bend National Park, set amid beautiful parkland that ‘bends’ around the Yarra River. When golfers attend the venue for the first time, they are pleasantly surprised when they are met with a juxtaposition of city views and a scenic parkland ambience.

While the golf course is rich in heritage and widely recognised as one of Melbourne’s premier public courses, the venue has evolved substantially during the past decade.

In 2010, an injection of new investment was underpinned by an ownership group with a vision to create a high-quality, community-focused, public golf destination in Melbourne’s Greater Northern Region.

The addition of a 58-bay indoor/outdoor driving range, a 36-hole mini golf course and the BannLynchMcDade Golf Coaching Academy (Australia’s most successful coaching group), has broadened the venue’s appeal and positioned Yarra Bend as one of Australia’s most successful public
golf facilities.

As one of the country’s first multi-functional golf venues, Yarra Bend combines play, practice and fun into an offering that appeals to golfers of all abilities.

In 2019, Yarra Bend became one of the first venues in the country to embrace Toptracer Range Technology, bringing a data-driven practice experience to Melbourne golfers.

There are already 42 Toptracer bays, but later this month Yarra Bend will be the first driving range in the country to offer Toptracer Range’s newest product, TopTracer Mobile – a mobile-enabled technology that allows golfers to track their shots digitally, while hitting from a grass tee.

In the past, Yarra Bend may have been described as a pleasant starting point for beginner golfers or even a hidden gem. Yet today it is the go-to venue for Melbourne golfers seeking convenience, fun and improvement within the most picturesque of settings.
