We’ve seen a bunch of amazing full-court putt attempts by college basketball fans in recent years, including one that had Patrick Mahomes more hyped than when he won any of his three Super Bowls. But what we saw on Sunday during a Michigan game does NOT fall into that category.
We don’t know the guy’s name (luckily for him) and we don’t know the stakes (it didn’t matter), but we do know that this is about as bad of an attempt as we could ever imagine. This is the 50 Cent first pitch of full-court putt attempts.

Check it out as the dude takes a whack at the golf ball and sends it dead right and off the scorer’s table. You can hear the gasp from the crowd and see as the dude immediately hangs his head in shame (as he should):

Woof. We’d expect more from a MICHIGAN MAN.
Unfortunately for Michigan fans, that pathetic putt mirrored the entire game as the 15th-ranked Wolverines got smoked at home by 20 points at the hands of unranked Illinois. So it was a tough day all around for the Maize and blue. But, again, mostly for that guy.
