Only the Wyndham Championship remains in the PGA Tour’s regular season and while many can guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs, there are some big names hovering right around the proverbial bubble.
In this case, 70 is the magic number, as the top 70 after the week at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina will determine those who advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis.
The good news is that all the combatants near the bubble are entered into the Wyndham field, so we can expect a lot of movement late Sunday, which means hearts will also be broken.
A reminder: The top 70 will be at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and the top 50 in points after that will head to the BMW Championship at Bellerive in St. Louis. From there the top 30 will move to the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta to determine the winner of the FedEx Cup.

Jackson Koivun popped into No. 70 after winning the 3M Open last week in Minnesota, holding off Scottie Scheffler down the stretch. He played in the Rocket Classic this last week in Detroit, but two late bogeys left him in the exact same spot.
Mac Meissner is the first man out as of now, but his tie for 26th place in Detroit moved him up one position over the week. Keegan Bradley moved from 76th to 72nd after a tie for 15th place at the Rocket Classic. Andrew Putnam missed the cut to move from 71st to 73rd, Johnny Keefer moved from 73rd to 74th and Jason Day did not play.
From those inside the bubble—Steven Fisk missed the cut and dropped from 66th to 69th, Jordan Smith dropped one position to 68th, Matti Schmid missed the cut and went from 65th to 67th and Ricky Castillo moved up two spots to 66th.
Scottie Scheffler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark and Chris Gotterup are the first five in standings. Only Young is playing the Wyndham Championship as he is the defending champion after capturing his first PGA Tour victory at Sedgefield last year.
