Regardless of how you feel or don’t feel about LIV Golf, I think we can all agree it’s a damn shame that we don’t get to see Cameron Smith compete against the world’s best as often as we’d like to. The 31-year-old Queenslander, still smack-bang in the prime of his career, will be sorely missed from the Presidents Cup in two weeks’ time, by both fans and the International squad itself.

Unfortunately, that’s just where we’re at right now – with Smith hitting preposterous, other-worldly shots in LIV practice rounds in front of exactly zero fans. And no, that’s not a potshot at LIV – the tour literally does not allow spectators at practice rounds.

Luckily, golf coach Ryan Mouque was on hand at Bolingbrook Golf Club on Wednesday and whipped out his phone just in time to capture the former Open winner hit what can only be described as maybe the most flush shot ever hit off a cartpath. This sounds better than most players’ shots off a perfect plot of turf:

Seriously, are we sure that’s even a cartpath? That was absolutely perfect contact. How about this coin-sized ‘divot’:

Silly stuff. Mouque was also quick to share a photo of the damage to Smith’s 6-iron, if you can even call it that:

These guys are just built differently.
