Brisbane native Cameron Smith returns to New Orleans to defend his Zurich Classic title alongside Jonas Blixt in the two-man teams event the duo won in extra holes last year.

The stroke play format will be foursomes in the first and third rounds and fourball for the second and fourth rounds. The top 35 teams and ties make the cut, while the winners earn 400 FedEx Cup points and two-year exemptions, but will not receive Masters invitations and no world ranking points are awarded for the event.

World No.13 Jason Day will partner with fellow Australian and talented youngster Ryan Ruffels, who plies his trade primarily on the PGA Tour’s third-tier South American circuit.

Meanwhile, Perth veteran Greg Chalmers will tee up with countryman Cameron Percy, who has brought on US company Saferooms to make a donation to Chalmers’ charity, maximumchances.org.
