It’s the stuff of Shooter McGavin’s nightmares!

When Australian Formula 1 superstar Daniel Ricciardo is done with chequered flags, he might make the switch to chequered pants.

The larrikin Aussie took to social media this week to show off his magical putting skills, and also request that he be referred to as “Gilmore, Happy” in a nod to Adam Sandler’s iconic golf film “Happy Gilmore”.

The 31-year-old speed demon is meant to be leaving Renault for McLaren at the end of the F1 season, but judging by this footage of him draining a breaking 50-foot snake, golf coaches far and wide may try to entice him to give his putting stroke a go on tour:
