OLDER than 50 and love golf? Growing older has some advantages, as 50-and-older golfers can participate in Australian Veteran Golfers Association events and tours, enjoying like-minded company in a variety of golf destinations.

The idea behind playing with fellow senior players is to enjoy similar life values and have the opportunity to meet and make lifetime friends. Players from across Australia enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of AVGA events and tours.

Travellers enjoy escorted, pre-arranged itineraries with access to golf clubs they would not normally play, plus the ease of travelling knowing that someone is looking after the travel arrangements – all while playing in an organised competition to destinations including Queenstown in New Zealand, Chiang Mai and Hua Hin in Thailand, Da Nang in Vietnam, the Mornington Peninsula, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, South Australia, Western Australia, Hawaii and the USA (Scottsdale, Sedona and Las Vegas).

Next up is a February tour to Queenstown, with places still available. This trip is a yearly favourite and includes staying seven nights and playing Jack’s Point [above] and Millbrook Resort and Queenstown Golf Club. All tours are managed and operated by AVGA Golf.
