Matt McCarty will always have Black Desert Resort in his heart after claiming his maiden PGA Tour title there last year. Turns out, he also carries an actual piece of the place in his bag.

Ahead of McCarty’s return as the defending champ of the PGA Tour’s annual stop in Utah, the left-handed golfer and his caddie, Devrath Das, played a version of the newlywed game. And that’s where this random – but kind of cool – fact was revealed. Well, kind of cool to everyone except Das.

The pair was asked who weighs down the golf bag the most and both immediately said Matt. Then Das dropped this unexpected detail:

“We literally have a rock from this course I’ve been carrying around all year,” as Matt laughs. “Just in the bottom of the bag. Sentimental value, I understand, but it weighs a lot.”

Amazing. Here’s the full clip:

Good luck to the pair on defending their title this week in Utah. And good luck to Das making it through another week lugging that bag around. At least he never has to worry about skipping leg day.
