Golf Twitter darling Michael Kim was on top of the golf world on Sunday after winning the French Open. But a big victory celebration had him bracing for a potential ‘brutal’ hangover on Monday. Hey, that’s the cost of doing business. Or, something like that.

Anyway, the American in Paris held off a host of challengers including Brooks Koepka during the final round of the FedEx Open de France. The 32-year-old wound up winning by one shot thanks to this clutch par save on the final hole to post a 16-under-par total for the week and become the first U.S. golfer to win the DP World Tour event in 53 years:

When that number held up, Kim had his first win since his lone PGA Tour victory at the 2018 John Deere Classic. Seven years is a long drought, so, understandably, he lived it up after.
He also happened to be in the birthpace of bubbly. And as Kim shared on Twitter, he got after it.

Well-deserved. Especially after getting daggered by Viktor Hovland in the FedEx Cup Playoffs last month. Anyway, here was Michael’s follow-up message to the party pic in which he worried about his Monday morning flight back to Dallas:
This hangover is going to be brutal for my flight home to Dallas. I can already feel it.

If there’s a scientific hangover formula based on how big of a bottle you’re drinking from, then Kim could be in trouble. Anyway, congrats, Michael. We hope you didn’t end up going full Tyrrell Hatton—and that you wound up making that flight.
