It was a Sunday to forget for Jake Knapp at the Genesis Scottish Open. At one point holding a share of the lead, the 31-year-old faltered to a final-round 74 to finish T-22. But considering he was a links golf rookie, it was still a nice effort overall.

Obviously, the PGA Tour winner is one heckuva player. And it turns out, he’s also one heckuva teacher because his girlfriend may have actually pulled off the most impressive bunker shot of the week in Scotland.
Makena White is rapidly climbing the Golf Twitter rankings and it looks like she’s becoming a great golfer in her own right. Have a look at this kneeling effort from a pot bunker:

Very spiffy. And if she really got that up and down, even more impressive.

Don’t listen to the haters, Makena. It looks like you hit that perfectly.
Unfortunately for Knapp, his finish kept him out of this week’s British Open at Royal Portrush. But if he and Makena stay over there another week and practice, then both should be links golf experts by the time they return to the states.
