In the aftermath of Keegan Bradley’s dramatic Travelers Championship win, the best Keegan-related content that surfaced came from two decades ago.

We’re talking about the old college golf video application that Keegan and his dad put together for perspective schools. And it’s pure gold. See for yourself:

But, apparently, the colleges Keegan sent it to didn’t see it that way. And on Wednesday he provided a surprisingly sad backstory to the video that’s gone viral 20 years after it was created.

“It was a stressful time in my life because I wasn’t getting recruited by literally any colleges and somebody suggested we make this like hype video or whatever it is,” Bradley told reporters ahead of this week’s Rocket Classic. “You look back on it now, it’s silly. We sent it out to 40 colleges, we didn’t get one response.”

Not ONE response? Out of 40? Damn, that’s rough.

“Thankfully St. John’s saw something in me and now we can look back and laugh at it,” Bradley added.

Yeah, with nine college wins at St. John’s followed by eight PGA Tour titles (and counting) to go with a Ryder Cup captaincy, that’s an all-time getting-the-last-laugh situation. On the flip side, there are a lot of college golf coaches out there who are lamenting the major champ that got away.
