US president Donald Trump brought Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe to his knees during their recent round of golf. He just didn’t realise it.
After hitting a shot from a fairway bunker, Abe rushed to catch up with Trump and tour star Hideki Matsuyama, who were walking down the fairway together. We’ve all done that when we don’t want to miss out on a good on-course conversation, but Abe, 63, lost his balance and fell backwards into the bunker.
Fortunately for the prime minister, he didn’t seem to hurt himself and he recovered so quickly that his playing partners didn’t seem to notice. Smooth. Unfortunately for the prime minister, one Japanese TV station still caught the embarrassing tumble on camera. Check it out:

pic.twitter.com/RpiDToG30n— umekichi (@umekichkun) November 8, 2017
