Australia’s Ian Baker-Finch already had a reputation for being one of the world’s nicest people, but his farewell message to retiring CBS analyst Nick Faldo took his ‘Mr Nice Guy’ persona to a whole new level.

Faldo, who announced in June he was hanging up the mic at CBS at the conclusion of the 2022 PGA Tour season to spend more time at home with his family, was in booth alongside our man ‘Finchy’, Jim Nantz and Frank Nobilo for the final time at this week’s Wyndham Championship.

As all the golf action was coming to a close, emotions started to rise, and it was Baker-Finch who got the ball – sorry, make that tears! – well and truly rolling!

“I’m a single child and I’ve found, at 65, three brothers,” said Faldo after 16 years calling the game for CBS.

Yep, absolute tear-jerking stuff to finish off the PGA Tour regular season.

Enjoy retirement, mate.
