After a five-day Players Championship, the Florida Swing will wrap up this week at the Valspar Championship outside of the Tampa Bay area in Palm Harbor, Fla. The acclaimed Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort will once again host the event with a host of the PGA Tour’s best players making their way from TPC Sawgrass. Top-ranked talents Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas are all teeing off this week, along with defending champ Peter Malnati.
Malnati made a back-nine charge on Sunday in 2024 to win his first PGA Tour event in eight years. Three birdies in a row between Nos. 10-12 did the trick, and he ended up winning by two strokes over Cameron Young. The win got Malnati into Augusta National for his first Masters start. This week’s winner also gets an Augusta invite if he’s not already in the event, as this is one of the last three PGA Tour starts with the champion able to qualify for 2025’s first men’s major.
The course will be a little different this go-around with some slight tweaks to the Florida mainstay. The tournament yardage is now 7,352—the same as TPC Sawgrass last week—with pros teeing off from the No. 11 tee for the ninth hole. This will add a bit of length to the course and force some bunkers to come back into play.
This week’s winner will receive a $1.566 million cut of the $8.7 million purse and 500 FedEx Cup points.

The Copperhead course is most famous for hosting the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship every April, but Innisbrook is home to three more championship courses—Island, North and South—with views more like the sand hills of the Carolinas than you might expect in Florida. The Copperhead course is a tough ball-striking challenge with tight, tree-lined fairways and a demanding three-hole finish—known as the Snake Pit—that often makes for dramatic finishes to the annual PGA Tour stop.
