Few people are more locked in on golf right now than LeBron James. The NBA superstar has caught the golf bug over the last few months and even went so far as to start live-tweeting the Tour Championship/Tommy Fleetwood’s inaugural PGA Tour win. Once you start posting, “Up 3 with 2 to play for all the marbles,” it’s all over.
Using this as motivation, tour winner (and social media extraordinaire) Michael Kim shot his shot, attempting to get LeBron James to show up and tee off in next year’s Genesis Invitational pro-am. You can’t blame him for trying to finagle his way into a round with the four-time NBA champ. Hey! We’d do the same if LeBron were watching the Golf Digest Open.
Hey LeBron, there’s a tournament called the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country club. You can play with Scottie, Fleetwood or whoever you’d like in the Wednesday Pro am! It’s a lot of fun
It’s during a home stint and you don’t have a game that day. Feel free to come out! https://t.co/28aDFnuG9R

If Fleetwood can win on the PGA Tour, why can’t LeBron show up and jump into a pro-am at Riviera? Sometimes you gotta believe. And what a way that would be to end the early-season West Coast Swing.

Just for fun, Kim threw in a little Brooks Koepka-LIV Golf dig as well in a back-and-forth with a Brooks Koepka Tracker. The Internet remains a weird place.
Haha I’m well aware of where I stand on the totem pole so def not me… but it’s not like he can play with Brooks either

“Haha I’m well aware of where I stand on the totem pole so def not me,” Kim responded on if he’d play with LeBron. “But it’s not like he can play with Brooks either.”
It’s all about growing the game. And with retirement on the horizon for LeBron James—well, maybe—perhaps it’s time for LeBron to show his stuff on the PGA Tour (sort of). Steph Curry and company have been testing their wares for years; let’s get The Chosen One on the links.
