Tommy Fleetwood produced one of the PGA Tour’s most popular victories in recent history at the Tour Championship. And the final day’s TV ratings certainly back that up.
Fleetwood finally won his maiden PGA Tour title in his 164th start, topping the field at East Lake by three shots to claim not only the season finale but also the FedEx Cup. Fans chanted his name, peers waited to celebrate with him and millions of people tuned in from their homes in US and plenty in Australia, too.

And now we know the big number that tuned in to see Tommy win the tour’s biggest payday. According to Sports Business Journal’s Josh Carpenter, the final round broadcast on NBC averaged 4.491 million views, up 34 percent from last year.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler won in 2024 under a different format despite Collin Morikawa shooting the best score over four days at East Lake. The PGA Tour got rid of the staggered start leaderboard after six years ahead of this year’s event. The tour’s TV ratings—on both CBS and NBC—have seen an overall increase in 2025 as well.
As Carpenter also noted, the final day broadcast was the most-viewed non major of the 2025 PGA Tour season.
A big win for Tommy Fleetwood and NBC. Sunday's final round of the Tour Championship averaged 4.491M viewers, up 34% from last year when it drew 3.358M.

However, we’re pretty sure it won’t wind up being the most-viewed non major of 2025. That should happen next month when Fleetwood and his European mates take on Team USA in the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
