Despite many, many close calls, Tommy Fleetwood has yet to win a PGA Tour event. Sorry for bringing this up again, especially after his recent Travelers Championship collapse, but facts are facts. With that said, how crazy would it be if the Pom won his first PGA Tour event left-handed? It’s unlikely, sure, but it’s not impossible.

The seven-time European/DP World Tour victor and Olympic medallist will be utilising all of his golf know-how and the connections he’s picked up over the years for a new YouTube series in which he’ll attempt to break 100 from his non-dominant side. It’s quite the undertaking and ballsy to “start over” in golf in your mid-30s, but when you’re as talented as these pros are, we guess you have to invent new ways to challenge yourself.

“Dear golf,” Fleetwood teases. “I don’t know how else to say this, but it’s time for me to start over. Like, all the way over. Why am I doing this? Because this is the start of my quest to break 100 left-handed.”

Following in the footsteps of Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson, Fleetwood will join Ian Poulter and our own Jason Day as golf luminaries trying to make the jump to YouTube; however, only Fleetwood has given himself this specific burden to carry. It’s one thing to Break 50 with friends, it’s another to re-learn the game left-handed from scratch.

The first episode is already up, and you can check out Fleetwood getting some practice in, from dialling in his irons to hitting a lefty rescue to trying out a mini driver to escaping a bunker. We even get a little Steph Curry-esque putting drill.

“This has got disaster written all over it,” Fleetwood admits while in the sand. Then, he immediately hits it out with a shot that most of us could only dream of. Infuriating.

Obviously, Fleetwood and co. will draw this out with lessons, deep dives and other entertaining side quests, but it’s certainly not impossible that Fleetwood could break 100 right now. A one-episode series isn’t a real winner, though, so we’ll see how long it takes before Fleetwood dials in from the other side and achieves his latest goal.
