It is no surprise, as the DP World Tour resumes this week in Dubai, to see the 10 players who qualified for their PGA Tour cards last season planning the months ahead in their own individual ways.
The men who have gained their PGA Tour cards through season-long play on the DP World Tour in 2023 – a Pole, a New Zealander, two Frenchmen, a Dane, a Swede, a Scotsman, a Spaniard, a Japanese and a Finn – are definitely the first of their kind.
Understandably emotional only eight months after being cleared of wrongdoing after alleged incidents on a flight from the US to London saw him end up in a court of law, Olesen was close to tears more than once.
Olesen had been suspended from the European Tour since the incident, however with the trial not set until December 2021, the tour lifted Olesen’s suspension.
Thorbjorn Olesen plead not guilty to sexual assault, being drunk on an aircraft, and common assault on Wednesday at Uxbridge Magistrates Court outside London, according to Sky Sports.
