The proposal features three kilometres of running, walking and cycling paths, adventure and nature playgrounds, a footy field, skate park, BMX track, fitness trail and dog park with a reduced 18-hole public golf course and high-tech driving range.
Monash Council has a vote scheduled for next Tuesday, February 27, after a six-month period of consultation with the community with two options canvassed – to retain the golf course or to close it and create parkland.
