The best thing about being a top PGA Tour pro—besides getting paid tens of millions of dollars to play golf for a living—is that end of the FedEx Cup Playoffs coincides with the start of football season. That means for a few precious autumn Sundays, the world’s best golfers get to kick back, relax and sweat parlays instead of three-putts. Just ask World No. 1 and 2024 FedEx Cup Champ Scottie Scheffler. On Wednesday, Scheffler joined Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, where he shared his packed Sunday schedule during the “offseason” with hosts Big Cat and PFT Commenter. Unsurprisingly, it is pure GOAT material.

Life goals. Scheffler wakes up with a piping hot cup of Stu Feiner, host of the Bartstool Sports show ‘Sports Advisors’ and one of the most legendary sports handicappers currently going. Once that’s over, he packs the family in the station wagon and heads to church because even degenerate sports bettors deserve forgiveness too.

“That’s the correct order to do it,” as PFT quips.

After that, Scheffler comes home, puts in a few bets on the afternoon action and spends the rest of the day melting his eyeholes with football. You absolutely have to respect the grind.

Pretty soon Scheffler will be back out on the range, gearing up for another campaign, but after winning a green jacket, gold medal and Tour Championship in 2024, he deserves a nice, football-filled rest. After all, all work and no play makes Scottie a dull boy.
