The PGA Tour’s Florida Swing moves north to Orlando for another signature event, the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge.
Nine of the top 10 players in the world are in action, including 2024 Arnold Palmer champion Scottie Scheffler and World No. 3, Xander Schauffele, who is returning from a rib injury that he was battling since the start of the year. They’ll all be playing for the customary $20 million purse with the winner taking home $4 million. There will be a cut.
Rory McIlroy (2), Ludvig Aberg (4), Collin Morikawa (5), Hideki Matsuyama (6), Wyndham Clark (7), Justin Thomas (8) and Tommy Fleetwood (10) are the others inside the top 10.

Scheffler hasn’t won this year but has collected two top-10 finishes and aside from winning here last year, he also won three years ago. Aberg is playing in his first tour event since winning the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines. McIlroy, the 2018 Bay Hill winner who won at Pebble Beach last month, is playing here for the 11th time.
Headlines last week showed that both Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth were not given sponsor exemptions at Bay Hill. Instead they went to Justin Rose and Rafael Campos, who usually plays in the opposite-field event in his native Puerto Rico.
Up next: the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass at PGA Tour headquarters.
