Joel Dahmen asked and he received. Instantly.
Thanks to PGA Tour Live’s “Every Shot Live” coverage this week on ESPN+, fans, players, caddies and media members alike can see … wait for it … every shot live. There was one in particular tht Dahmen was interested following his first-round four-over 76 at TPC Sawgrass. Since he had just worked all day, though, Dahmen didn’t feel like doing any extra leg work, so he posed this question to his Twitter/X following of 202,000:Â
Anyone have video of my shot on 13 today? Best shot I hit all day today ends up off the green.

It took all of four minutes for Dahmen’s wish to be granted, allowing him to relive the painful outcome:

Oof. That seems juuuust a bit unfair, doesn’t it? Especially for a Thursday. The green depth at the par-3 13th is 37 paces, and the first-round location was seven paces from the right edge and just nine paces on. Diabolical is a word that comes to mind. Â
To his credit, Dahmen took it in stride, nearly chipping in for birdie and cleaning up his 12-incher for par. One fan asked for some StrackaLine info—StrackaLine is a greenreading and yardage book app used by tour pros—but Dahmen said he didn’t have it:
I don’t have that info. I think Jon might be able to find it. Probably a 3% and gets steeper closer to the edge. Where it lands on grain patches matters a lot

Earlier that same day, Ludvig Aberg’s tee shot found the far left side of the green, leaving him with 50 feet up the hill for birdie. His putt, which he hit with too much speed, hit the hole and then rolled some 30 feet past, leading to a messy double bogey and further highlighting just how insane of a pin position it was. The scoring average for the 13th on Thursday was +0.130 over par, ranking as the sixth hardest hole. There were just 16 birdies, 102 pars, 18 bogeys and eight doubles or worse.Â
