First things first: the events of Sunday evening at Bondi Beach were unfathomably tragic and monumentally harrowing for the families impacted, the local community and our nation as a whole.
What we didn’t expect was for the massacre to draw a link to golf.

Phil Mickelson, who loves X (Twitter) as much as he loves a daring escape shot from a risky situation, took to the social media haven and lambasted Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese:
Needless to say, an American opining about gun laws in Australia drew all manner of replies, which you can read within Mickelson’s X post.
He did, however, offer his condolences to those impacted:
We wish the mass shootings hadn’t taken place. But we suspect Mickelson might regret picking up the phone on this one.
