Rejoice, golf fans, for Today is the most wonderful day of the year. A day of magic and wonderment to be shared with family and friends alike. Today is [drum roll please] TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP MEDIA DAY!!!

Sure, the Travelers doesn’t kick off until June, but on Tuesday organizers got the festivities started early with some help from everyone’s favorite cocktail party jester, Oz the Mentalist. Oz was joined by Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay and a few others, but the target of his illusion was World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and his caddie Ted Scott. Oz asked Scott to pick four clubs at random from Scheffler’s bag without showing the players. He then asked Scheffler to think of his ATM PIN code. You can probably see where this is going …

If you just want to fast forward to Scheffler’s banking information before he changes it, that starts at about the 55-second mark. The rest of the trick was pretty straightforward. Oz reads off numbers between 1 and ten and asks Scheffler to look at him while doing it. He analyzes Scheffler’s tell and guesses the code, which is revealed to be the four clubs—a 5-iron, 8-iron, 7-iron and 4-iron—that Scott pulled from Scheffler’s bag. Everyone is tickled pink … except for notorious fun-haver Patrick Cantlay, who is locked onto Oz the entire time, trying to figure out the con. We suppose this is why he’s the man on the inside at PGA Tour HQ.

Anyway, that’s the bit. Another day, another dollar for ol’ Oz the Mentalist, and possibly for you too. Just head on down to your local Travelers branch and punch 5874 into the ATM. Who knows what might happen.
