Australian Golf Digest joins Mercedes-Benz in celebrating a tournament where prestige meets passion
When luxury meets the love of the game, the result is the MercedesTrophy – and Australian Golf Digest was proud to once again share in the celebration of this iconic event as part of our ongoing partnership with Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific.
Now in its 36th year, the MercedesTrophy continues to raise the bar as one of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in global golf. And for a select group of Australian and New Zealand Mercedes-Benz customers, this year’s national final at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club delivered a golf experience as refined as the vehicles they drive.
After earning their place through qualifying events hosted by authorised Mercedes-Benz retailers, finalists were flown to Queensland’s glittering Gold Coast for two rounds of competitive golf at the Palms and Pines courses. Off the fairways, they were treated to five-star accommodation at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove, fine dining and luxury hospitality in true Mercedes-Benz style.
But this wasn’t just about bucket-list golf and premium service. The stakes were high, with the top performers securing a spot at the 2025 MercedesTrophy World Final in Stuttgart, Germany – where they’ll represent their country against teams from more than 30 nations. For golfers who’ve ever dreamed of teeing it up on the world stage, this is the golden ticket.
“It was a true pleasure to host the finalists at Sanctuary Cove,” said Jaime Cohen, chief executive of Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific. “The MercedesTrophy is a wonderful event that brings together our valued customers of the brand in a great location for two days of competitive golf and offers them the chance to win a trip to Europe to compete against finalists from 30 other countries from all over the world. It’s a great example of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences available exclusively to Mercedes-Benz owners.”
Throughout the weekend, guests were also treated to a preview of the brand’s latest models, including the bold Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid and the stylish AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet – a reminder that performance and elegance extend far beyond the golf course.
If you’re a Mercedes-Benz owner – or considering becoming one – the road to the 2026 MercedesTrophy might just be the most rewarding drive of your golf life. Learn more about it at mercedes-benz.com.au
