The hat-trick highlights LIV Golf’s standing as a world-class event experience, LIV Golf Adelaide’s international impact and cements South Australia’s growing reputation as a global destination for world-class sport and entertainment.
Since its debut event in 2023, LIV Golf Adelaide has become a defining moment on the international golf calendar, reshaping expectations of what a modern tournament can deliver. LIV Golf events offer a unique fusion of elite sport, entertainment, music and sustainability amid a festival-like atmosphere – a formula that has enraptured fans around the world.
Headlined by Joaquin Niemann’s historic individual victory and a dominating team win by Fireballs GC, LIV Golf Adelaide 2025 welcomed yet another record-breaking crowd of more than 102,000 fans to experience the trademark energy that has defined the league’s global success.
“It’s official, again,” said Peter Malinauskas, premier of South Australia.
“LIV Golf Adelaide is the world’s best golf event, hosted in one of the world’s great cities. But we are not resting on our laurels – we have bold ambitions to make it even better. A lot of hard work and effort goes into creating a truly unique experience like LIV Golf Adelaide, and we are proud to be the government that has invested in this opportunity. But none of it could be achieved without those who choose to make the investment to attend.”
“We’re immensely proud to see LIV Golf Adelaide recognised not only for excellence in fan experience and event delivery, but also for environmental leadership,” added Ross Hallett, LIV Golf’s executive vice-president and head of events. “Both recognitions are a testament to our commitment to deliver the very best events, working alongside our partners and stakeholders. LIV Golf Adelaide has led the way since the inaugural event in 2023, and the recognition received has only been possible because of the commitment from the South Australia Tourism Commission and our event management partners at 54.
“LIV Golf Adelaide’s fusion of elite performance, fan-first experiences, and environmental responsibility is redefining how professional golf events are held and experienced. It’s also inspiring a new generation of fans, shaping the future of golf and providing examples for other live events to follow LIV Golf’s lead.
“We recently announced that LIV Golf events will expand to 72 holes and feature a fourth day of competition. This change ensures that fans will have more access to elite golf competition, our signature premier hospitality and a family-friendly atmosphere.”

In addition to the coveted accolade voted by golf professionals, media and fans worldwide, LIV Golf Adelaide is proud to be re-certified to the GEO Tournament Standard, the globally recognised benchmark for sustainability and environmental leadership in golf events. This follows on the heels of LIV Golf’s ISO 20121 certification in 2025. LIV Golf is setting a new standard as the first league, tour or major body in the golf industry to be ISO 20121 certified. The League joined the likes of F1, the Olympics, Liverpool FC and the Philadelphia Eagles to achieve this international standard for sustainable event management.
LIV Golf Adelaide is one of several events on the LIV Golf calendar to have been independently verified for GEO Certification, leading the way for well-managed sustainable practices from planning to long after the event finishes, with the likes of biodegradable signage and solar power light towers. Achievements in 2025 include: 19.15 percent renewably sourced electricity, up from 15 percent in 2024, transitioning to 100 percent battery-powered buggies for staff, 89 percent of event vehicles used were hybrid and introduced Draught Toppers that enabled cans to be converted into reusable aluminium cups.
This dual recognition cements LIV Golf Adelaide’s position as both a global sporting highlight and a sustainability trailblazer. These achievements reflect LIV Golf’s broader commitment to sustainable event practices and its long-term Impact and Sustainability strategy.
As anticipation builds for LIV Golf Adelaide 2026, the league remains focused on building on this success and continuing to elevate the fan experience. The 2026 event, which will be held from February 12-15 at The Grange Golf Club, promises fresh innovations, enhanced sustainability programs and the league’s continued leadership as a global benchmark for modern golf tournaments.
