There was a lot of percentages chatter following J.J. Spaun’s dramatic U.S. Open victory on Sunday. The 120-to-1 longshot entering the tournament had only about a one-percent chance of winning midway through the final round and his 65-foot walk-off bomb only had a two-percent chance of going in. But those things had short odds of happening compared to what one high school golfer did.
And it gets even crazier by the fact that he had already pulled off this insane feat before.

Two years ago, we brought you the unbelievable story of Colin Bobowski, a Cincinnati-area high school freshman who made THREE holes-in-one on the same hole during a VFW charity outing. We should clarify that Bobowski was serving as the “celebrity hitter,” playing that hole, the 145-yard sixth at Aston Oaks Golf Club, with each group coming through and he wound up getting 60 cracks from the tee.
⛳️Cincinnati area H.S. golfer Colin Bobowski just knocked in *THREE* holes in one at the same golf outing.

But still, THREE holes-in-one is ridiculous. Well, ridiculous for anyone not named Colin Bobowski.
Now a junior, Colin was back playing his role earlier this month. And lightning struck AGAIN. Twice.
That’s two more holes-in-one on the same hole. And you don’t need to be in high school to know that three plus two equals five. That’s FIVE holes-in-one on the same hole. No golfer has ever owned a hole more than Colin Bobowski owns the sixth at Aston Oaks.
Yeah, yeah, there will be naysayers these don’t technically count as holes-in-one given the circumstances. But it doesn’t make it any less crazy. Just consider that Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas got 100 attempts at a 148-yard par 3 a few years ago in one of those entertaining “Chase the Ace” videos by the DP World Tour—and those two major champs came up empty.
So, congrats to Colin. Hopefully, the bar tab was covered and he enjoyed a couple pops himself. Soda pops, that is.
