The LPGA has reached its fourth event of the season, with the Blue Bay LPGA in China being the third and final tournament of the Asia swing. The 108-player field will compete for the $2.6 million purse at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course with the winner taking home $390,000.
Nelly Korda, Jeeno Thitikul and Hannah Green have each won so far this season.
Only three of the top-25 ranked players in the world are competing, which means there’s room for someone to jump up and change the course of their respective careers. There are 22 LPGA rookies playing who would love to complete that task.
There are 29 players competing from China and five sponsor invites, four of them amateurs.
Next week is an off-week, but the tour then returns to the U.S. for the Founders Cup in California.
