The second of eight FedEx Cup Fall events is up this week at the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi, where status is on the line for next season on the PGA Tour.
Rickie Fowler is in the field, playing for the first time since the British Open in July at Royal Troon. His wife Allison gave birth to their second child, daughter Nellie, in August and Fowler has not played.
Eric Cole and Nick Dunlap are both in Mississippi and both finished inside the top 50 in FedEx Cup standings during the regular season, which means their standing for next year will not change. It’s already secured and they’re eligible for all the big events.

Mackenzie Hughes is the only player in the field who played in last week’s Presidents Cup, won handily by the Americans. The Canadian went 1-3-0 in a losing effort for the International team. International assistant captain Camilo Villegas is in the field too.
Last year Luke List won a five-man playoff to earn the title, draining a dramatic 43-footer for birdie on the first hole of a playoff. He beat Henrik Norlander, Ludvig Aberg, Scott Stallings and Ben Griffin.
A reminder, full status is on the line during this stretch and entry into two early signature events in 2025—the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. Players who rank inside the top 125 will earn that full status and Nos. 126-150 will have conditional status. All those players can improve status by playing in PGA Tour Q-School.
Here is the rundown of what each player will earn this week who makes the cut. Check back here shortly after play is complete Sunday for updates.
