The PGA Tour is back in Texas for the second time this year, this time at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson event at TPC Craig Ranch, where Taylor Pendrith is the defending champion. The overall purse is $9.9 million with the winner taking home $1.782 million for a victory

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler highlights the field after not playing here last year. He’s also looking for his first victory of the season after the historic run last year. He does, however, have five top-10 finishes this season, including three straight.

Jordan Spieth also remains in his home state after missing the cut last year here. He has two top-10 finishes this year and is always a fan favorite, especially in Texas.

Scheffler is the only top 10 player in the field. After him is Sungjae Im (20), Ben An (37), Tom Kim (38), Sam Burns (39), Pendrith (45) and Stephan Jaeger (47). Christo Lamprecht is in the field after being named recipient of the Byron Nelson Award last year for his play at Georgia Tech. This is his first PGA Tour start this year.

Up next is the Truist Championship, which moved to Philadelphia Cricket Club for a year because the PGA Championship is being held the following week at Quail Hollow Club, the usual Truist host course.

Here’s the rundown of what each player will earn this week who makes the cut. Check back here Sunday after play is over for updates.
