It’s back to work for the LPGA as the tour begins its 75th anniversary season this week with the Hilton Grand Vacation Tournament of Champions. The 32-player, no-cut includes several of the top players in the game, most notably World No. 1 Nelly Korda. The LPGA’s reigning player of the year won seven times in 2024, the most of any player in more than a decade and the most by an American since Beth Daniel in 1990.

Korda’s record in the event—with a field filled by winners on the LPGA from the last two seasons—is impressive with four top-five finishes and five top-10s in six starts, with her best showing being third-place finishes in 2019 and 2021. But there’s no wins, which we’re certain the 26-year-old wouldn’t mind changing over the next four days.

In her way will be defending champion Lydia Ko. The 27-year-old New Zealander accomplished a career milestone last August in winning the Olympic gold medal in Paris and earning the final point needed to qualify for the LPGA Hall of Fame. But Ko says there’s still more on her bucket list, most notably trying to pull off the career grand slam with wins already at the Chevron, Evian and Women’s British Open.

Seventeen of the top 25 players on the Rolex Women’s Rankings are competing, with four players making their TOC debut (Lauren Coughlin, Linnea Strom, Rio Takeda, Bailey Tardy).

The overall purse this week is $2 million with the winner earning a first-place prize money payout of $300,000. Here’s the prize money payouts for the entire field. Come back after the final round and we’ll update the individual names and paydays all 32 players competing.
