Nicolas Colsaerts once produced “one of the greatest putting rounds I’ve ever ever seen,” according to Tiger Woods. But on Friday, he produced a fairway bunker shot that would have impressed the 15-time major champ as well.

Colsaerts famously made eight birdies and an eagle on another Friday back in 2012 at the Rdyer Cup at Medinah in a four-ball win with Lee Westwood against Woods and Steve Stricker. The stakes were much lower as the Belgian played in his home country in the second round of the DP World Tour’s Soudal Open. But he found himself in a bit of a pickle on the par-4 sixth hole at Rinkven International GC.

Colsaerts’ tee shot wound up in a fairway bunker and right up against the lip. To add to his troubles, there was an overhanging tree causing him to have to hit a low hook. And he pulled it off brilliantly. Have a look:

Holy hands. What a shot.

Golf fans haven’t heard much from Colsaerts in recent years—his most recent of three DP World Tour titles came six years ago—but again, the guy once made eight birdies and an eagle to take down Tiger. So the long-hitting, 42-year-old still possesses plenty of talent.

Unfortunately, after that amazing approach shot, Colsaerts didn’t convert the birdie putt. The 2012 version of Woods would have been shocked.
