6-foot-8 South African golfer and caddie unleash awesome double club toss after holing bunker shot to claim first Korn Ferry Tour win

While all eyes were on the playoff playoff golf in Memphis on Sunday evening, South African slugger Christo Lamprecht delivered some drama of his own at the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Marooned in the greenside bunker on the 18th hole of Indian Creek Golf Club on Sunday, Lamprecht dialled up a textbook bunker shot that trick-trick-trickled in, handing him his first ever Korn Ferry Tour victory. As good as the shot was, however, the reaction may have been even better, as Lamprecht and his caddie both exploded with a simultaneous double club toss that will go down as one of the season’s best celebrations. Electric stuff. We’ve seen club tosses before, but Lamprecht’s caddie hurling his putter into the stratosphere at exactly the same time added another dimension to the celebration. The gallery reacted in kind as well. It’s not often we hear roars like this on the Korn Ferry Tour, but Lamprecht’s dramatic buzzer beater deserved every decibel. When asked about his spur-of-the-moment reaction after the round, Lamprecht summed it up succinctly:

“I was like, ‘what the heck just happened?’”

What happened? You just won your first tournament on American soil, buddy. Enjoy it.
