With the NBA playoffs on ESPN on Thursday night and Friday night, Charles Barkley and the rest of the NBA on TNT crew has had a few days off. For some, that would be a perfect time for rest and relaxation. A mental reset, if you will. For Chuck? Not quite.

On an episode of Barstool Sports’ Spittin Chiclets hockey podcast, Barkley, who has been a vocal supporter of the Edmonton Oilers throughout the NHL Playoffs, joined as a guest to talk some puck. Barkley, a degenerate gambler at heart, has unquestionably been spending some coin on playoff hockey so he’s been following it closely.
“The [Stanley] Cup is going back to Canada,” Barkley says in the clip below. “Plain and simple. Go Oilers!”
“Aye, what the f—?” responded host Paul Bissonnette, an ardent fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and fellow TNT employee. “Chuck, are you still drunk?”
Barkley clarified that he was drunk yesterday, meaning he was hungover today, hence the gigantic glasses and half-opened eyes. The Round Mound of Rebound then began telling the crew how he had spent his off day from work the day before, and how he was going to essentially run it back on Friday. Absolute gold:

Golf, cigars, alcohol, sports-watching. Say it with me now … ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
Even better news for the Chuckster? TNT doesn’t have a game until Monday, and it’s an “if necessary” Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks. As a Knicks fan, for the love of God, I hope it’s not, meaning Barkley could have off until Game 1 of the Easter Conference Finals next Wednesday. We could be witnessing an all-time bender, folks.
