With “Happy Gilmore 2” set to (finally) release laster this month, golf fans will get to see a bunch of their favourite players show off their acting skills. In the meantime, we got a taste of that with a new advertisement for Subway.
The ad stars Christopher McDonald, AKA Shooter McGavin, and Bryson DeChambeau, who is one of the LIV and PGA Tour stars in the long-awaited sequel. And while we’ve long known that McDonald can act, the two-time US Open champ displays some solid acting chops as well.

Have a look at this short, but sweet homage to the original “Happy Gilmore.” But instead of trying to run away with a stolen gold jacket, Shooter does a grab and go with a couple collector’s cups bearing his likeness—including snatching one out of Bryson’s hands. Have a look:

That’s just an all-around well done commercial right there. And if all the current golfers are as good on screen as Bryson, this sequel is in very good hands.
