Earlier this week, long-time Loch Ness monster expert Adrian Shine made a stunning admission that the fabled monster probably isn’t real. “They were all fakes,” he said regarding the numerous sightings over the years. “I’ve had enormous fun — and any new proof would be wonderful.”

It’s a tough loss for a man who’s devoted much of his life to a singular, wonky cause, but maybe now it’s time for a new obsession: Running a golf course. And if so, Mr. Shine, we have the perfect place for you, just a stone’s throw from Nessie and/or an upturned log.
That’s right! The independently-run Aigas Golf Course in the Scottish Highlands is up for sale for £1.5 million. That’s slightly over $A3 million. In addition to the course itself, the 30-acre facility includes four fully-furnished cottages, a clubhouse, a car park and even a practice area.
The Bell Ingram listing describes the property as a “superb lifestyle opportunity,” and the photos are otherworldly. It’s not often that you can buy your very own nine-hole golf course and have a reason to venture out into the Scottish Highlands.

Aigas Golf Course was established back in 1993 and currently offers memberships for around £300 ($A600) a year and adult green fees starting at £20 ($A40). It’s a par-33 course with a 50 percent discount on green fees for those staying at one of the on-site cottages.
Now’s your chance to own a golf course.
