Thorbjorn Olesen managed to do two seemingly impossible things with one swing on Friday at the World Cup of Golf. For one, he hit a 404-yard (369m) drive. For another, he didn’t look happy about hitting a 404-yard drive.
In fact, the Dane looked downright disgusted by the shot when it came off the clubface. Olesen had tugged it a little and he thought it was going to catch a fairway bunker on Kingston Heath’s finishing par 4. Instead, it caught a downslope and wound up in the left-center portion of the fairway, leaving him about a 50-yards for his approach. Check out Olesen’s reaction – and then the impressive result.

It was his partner, Soren Kjeldsen, however, who wound up birdieing the hole to cap an incredible round of 60 for Team Denmark. No other team shot better than 64 in fourballs on Day 2.
“I’m like a train . . . I arrive on time,” Kjeldsen mused after when comparing his less flashy golf game to that of his teammate. “It’s a good combination.”
