The follow-up to last year’s Vero X1 uses a higher compression for a firmer feel to appeal to players with fast swing speeds. Its construction builds on the idea of putting heavier elements away from the centre to create a high moment of inertia. This includes infusing the mantle layer with a dense metal additive that yields consistently low spin on tee shots and consistently high spin on wedge shots. The core is the source for power, but it’s the thin cover that lets the core do its work.
