Aussie golf fans are in for a bumper April in front of the box.

Not only will The Masters have them glued to their TV screens at all hours but confirmation coming out of the LIV Golf Adelaide camp that the country’s inaugural 54-hole showpiece event will now be aired on the Seven Network’s various linear channels, will only add to the Easter cheer.

The latest revelation follows 7Sport’s sneaky announcement on Sunday that it had secured the rights to the breakaway tour via social media, revealing golf fans will be able to watch every round of the 14-event season via its on-demand 7plus streaming platform.

The deal – struck at the eleventh hour as the Saudi-backed circuit’s second season teed off this week in Mexico – follows months of negotiations between LIV Golf and various other broadcasters around the world.

Critics barely had time to question whether an on-demand streaming platform would cut it as an overall broadcast when Nick Haslam, managing director of Performance54 – responsible for the management and promotion of LIV Golf Adelaide – revealed LIV Golf Adelaide won’t just be reserved for 7plus users.

“We’re obviously delighted the LIV Adelaide event in April will be broadcast free to air on linear TV here in Australia, which will be on a mix of 7 and 7mate/7Two (channels),” Haslam tells Australian Golf Digest.

“Additionally, having all 14 events on 7plus digital means every event is accessible to the Australian public for free, which will be great to build year-round awareness of the LIV Golf League.”

The broadcast news follows a league announcement that corporate hospitality tickets to LIV Golf Adelaide will go on sale Wednesday, March 1 from 8am (Adelaide time), giving eager fans the chance to lock away prized entry to the event.

“Australia has been starved of elite golf for too long,” adds Haslam. “We have received an overwhelming response to the inaugural LIV Golf Adelaide, which is indicative of Australia’s longstanding love of the sport and how excited fans are to see many players on LIV Golf’s sensational roster play on Australian soil for the first time.

“LIV Golf Adelaide’s hospitality experiences will be the premier destination at the event. An array of curated offerings will be available for purchase, ranging from fine dining and silver service to relaxed lounges, and include some of LIV Golf’s signature experiences that fans overseas have come to love.

“We’ve received huge amounts of interest from local South Australian fans as well as interstate and overseas spectators, and we look forward to welcoming all ticketholders to The Grange Golf Club in April.”

A range of premium experiences never seen before at golf events in Australia will be on offer at LIV Golf Adelaide, including LIV Golf’s exclusive hospitality offerings: Club 54, Gallery Club and Birdie Shack.

The epicentre of LIV Golf Adelaide’s party atmosphere will unfold at The Watering Hole on The Grange Golf Club’s 12th hole and see fans enjoy the liveliest part of the course inside the Shark Shack, The Garden, The Beach Club and The Cellar Door hospitalities that are exclusive to the Australian leg of the LIV Golf League tour.

Nearby at the 13th and 14th tee, South Australia’s best in food and wine will be on offer inside the Kangaroo Island and Barossa experiences and showcase the state’s iconic hospitality industry.
