Jordan Spieth, despite tying for fourth, was able to drink from the Claret Jug after all, courtesy of British Open winner Zach Johnson. Johnson’s caddie, Damon Green, posted celebration photos on the flight home from St Andrews on his Facebook page.
Johnson was joined by Spieth a fellow US PGA Tour pros for the fun ride home, which included passing the Claret Jug around for drinks.
It’s clear Spieth isn’t superstitious, preferring to perhaps get a taste of what’s to come after his Grand Slam dreams were ended by Johnson this week.
