Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club
Bribie Island was for so long an underrated destination for golf. That changed in 2006 when the Ross Watson -designed Pacific Harbour course opened and added another reason to visit the coastal Queensland locale. There’s a mélange of settings and styles at play at Pacific Harbour, for Watson opted for a links-style approach to many of the rippled fairways yet a couple of island greens and dominant water hazards give an altogether different look and feel. It’s a similar story with the bunkering, which melds long, flowing waste bunkers with more formal, defined pots. Throw in a little wind and it’s a handful of a test.
