It’s time to change things up. Do things differently. Inject a little life. And no, we’re not just talking about the PGA Tour’s proposed changes for 2026, which were revealed on Tuesday.

The other thing we’re talking about is our very own The Loop podcast, where we did, in fact, discuss the PGA Tour’s sweeping proposed changes and who were the biggest winners and losers of the news drop, and why nothing in the announcement truly “moved” the casual golf observer.

As for the pod, we are changing things up a bit by adding a number of new segments we hope you, the listener, will enjoy. This week we debuted “The best player on the planet RIGHT NOW,” which is exactly what it sounds like. It won’t be Scottie Scheffler or Xander Schauffele every week. Hell, it might not even be a PGA Tour professional (a hint for my selection this week).

We also debuted “the golfiest thing in golf,” where we discuss the most golf moment of the week, “Overrated/Underrated,” where we come up with a possibly divisive golf topic or golf activity and debate whether it’s overrated or underrated, and “Let it rip,” where myself, Stephen Hennessey or Alex Myers gets to complain about something that’s on our nerves this week.

Please, have a listen to the full podcast episode below, and like and subscribe to The Loop wherever you get your podcasts. And finally, if you enjoy our new segments, please feel free to reach out with topics/ideas/questions of your own that you’d like us to debate or discuss. You will be shouted out accordingly.
