The LPGA is back in the U.S. after last playing in Florida on February 9. Since then the tour was in Asia for three events but now is in Arizona for the Ford Championship at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler. The field is playing for an overall $2.25 million purse with the winner taking home $337,500.
Lilia Vu and Charley Hull are at the top of a packed leaderboard after three rounds. Vu is at 18 under par, two ahead of Hull. Last year’s champion, World No. 1 Nelly Korda, is back in action for the first time in seven weeks and was in contention before a third-round 73 moved her down the leaderboard.
Up next is the T-Mobile Match Play next week at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.
