The PGA Tour makes a stop in Mexico on its way from the West Coast swing to the Florida swing. It also marks the first of two opportunities for players to earn a spot into the Arnold Palmer Invitational via the Aon Swing 5.

The field is playing for an overall $7 million purse at the Mexico Open with the winner taking home $1.26 million for a victory at Vidanta Vallarta.

Jake Knapp is back to defend his title from a year ago. He tied for 17th place last week at the Genesis Invitational. Akshay Bhatia also played well last week at Torrey Pines, finishing tied for ninth place, and finished in fourth place in Mexico two years ago.

Seventeen-year-old Blades Brown is making his second PGA Tour start since turning pro earlier this year. He turns 18 on May 21, when he will actually be able to earn PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour status. He tied for 26th place at last year’s Myrtle Beach Classic but missed the cut earlier this year in the American Express in California.

Michael Thorbjornsen, Joel Dahmen, Aaron Rai, Emiliano Grillo and Erik van Rooyen are among other notables in the field.

Here’s the rundown of what each player will earn this week who makes the cut. Check back here Sunday for updates.
