Only three events remain in the PGA Tour’s fall schedule, with the tour heading to Mexico this week for the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos.
The field is playing for the $7.2 million purse with the winner taking home $1.296 million for his victory. Erik van Rooyen is the defending champion after capturing an emotional win in 2023 as he honored his dying friend, Jon Trasamar, who passed away a few days later after a long battle with terminal cancer.
Joining van Rooyen is a lineup that includes Cameron Young, playing for the first time since the BMW Championship. He recorded six top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season and only missed one cut. Nico Echavarria is playing again, fresh off his victory over Justin Thomas two weeks ago in Japan at the Zozo Championship.

Players from Mexico teeing it up in their home country include Isidro Benitez, Santiago de la Fuente, Emilio Gonzalez and Omar Morales.
A reminder, full status is on the line during this stretch of the fall season along with entry into two early signature events in 2025—the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. As part of the Aon Next 10, those ranked Nos. 51-60 in FedEx point will play in those two events. Those from 61-125 will retain full status for next year and Nos. 126-150 will have conditional status. All those players can improve status by playing in PGA Tour Q-School.
Here’s the rundown of what each player will earn this week who makes the cut. Check back here Sunday after play is complete for updates.
