The LPGA has moved to its fourth event of the year and the second event of the three-event swing in Asia. Following the Honda LPGA Thailand, the tour is in action this week at the HSBC Women’s World Championship at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.

The overall purse at Sentosa’s Tanjong Course is $1.8 million with the winner taking home $270,000 for her victory.

The 66-player field features eight of the top 10 players in the world, including No. 1 Lilia Vu. Jin Young Ko, ranked No. 6 in the Rolex Rankings, is looking to win this event for the third consecutive year after shooting identical 17-under-par scores to win the last two years. Ko topped Nelly Korda by two shots last year and Minjee Lee and In Gee Chun by two shots in 2022.

“So this course is pretty demanding off the tee, and I think with how the green has been playing, it’s a little bit on the firmer side,” Vu said earlier in the week. “So for me, you can’t really attack the pins. You kind of just have to aim for the front of the green and just kind of have a plan after that. So just playing smart golf, not being too greedy and I think I’m just going to stick to that game plan.”

Next week the LPGA is at the Blue Bay LPGA in China, before heading back to California for three consecutive events out west.
