Records can always be misleading, but the numbers are the numbers. Teams don’t often gel, a team can work well together but run into a buzzsaw. You just never know.

But after a long week at the Solheim Cup at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia it’s time to take a look at where each player stood once the U.S. won 15½ to 12½, winning for the first time since 2017.

For the Americans, Rose Zhang made history, becoming the third to go undefeated in four matches, although she’s the first ever to do so without ever seeing the 17th or 18th holes. She went 0-2-1 a year ago in Spain.

Megan Khang was another sparkplug for the red, white and blue. She followed a 3-0-1 performance a year ago with a 3-0-0 tally this year. Rookie Lauren Coughlin, playing in her home state, went 3-0-1. Andrea Lee was the only other American who did not lose, going 2-0-1. Ally Ewing went winless (0-4-0) and now has a 3-12-1 record all-time in four Solheim Cup appearances.

For Europe, Charley Hull and Emily Pedersen are the only players on either side who played all five matches. Hull went out first and dusted Nelly Korda, 6 and 4, in the first singles match to end with a 3-2-0 record. Pedersen lost her singles match to Khang to fall to 2-3-0 for the week.

On the surprising end, Sweden’s Linn Grant went 0-4-0 and was the only player from her side who didn’t earn a point. She played all five matches in Europe’s victory last year in Spain and went 3-2-0.
