Seventy-seven days after opening night of the TGL’s inaugural season, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s tech-infused indoor simulator league is about to crown a champion. Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay of the Atlanta Drive have a 1-0 lead over Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young of New York Golf Club in the best-of-three final series with Match 2 being held tonight at the SoFi Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. If the boys from the Big Apple can knot things up, a deciding Match 3 will follow immediately.

Beside claiming the SoFi Cup, the winning roster also will grab the first-place prize money payout for their season-long efforts. The winning team earns $9 million to be split among the four players on the roster (Atlanta’s fourth is Lucas Glover; New York’s is Matt Fitzpatrick). A second-place finish brings with it a $4.5 million team payday.
